Tony nominee Jeremy Jordan will play American record executive Neil E. Bogart in the upcoming Spinning Gold, according to Deadline. The film will detail the rise of Bogart's Casablanca Records in the '70s, famous for having signed the likes of Donna Summer, Parliament, KISS, Village People, Bill Withers, Curtis Mayfield, and many more.

Spinning Gold is written and directed by the late Bogart's son, Timothy Scott Bogart, with shooting set to begin this summer.

The cast will also include Samuel L. Jackson as Parliament's George Clinton, Neil Patrick Harris as KISS co-manager Bill Aucoin, Jason Derulo as Ron Isley of the Isley Brothers, Jazmine Sullivan as Gladys Knight, and Steven Strait as KISS' Gene Simmons, among others.

Casting for the role of Donna Summer has not yet been announced. Michelle Monaghan and Caitlin FitzGerald will play Bogart's first and second wives, respectively.

The film's soundtrack will reportedly feature such hits as Summer's "Last Dance" and "I Feel Love," Parliament’s "Give Up the Funk (Tear the Roof off the Sucker)”, and Withers’ “Lean on Me,” among other well-known hits of the era.
