Greater Clements, written by Samuel D. Hunter and directed by Davis McCallum, will bow at Lincoln Center Theater Off-Broadway beginning November 14 with an official opening set for December 9.

The play, staged at the Mitzi Newhouse Theater, will star Tony Award nominee Judith Ivey (HurlyBurly), Edmund Donovan (The Snow Geese), Andrew Garman (Admissions), Nina Hellman (10 Out of 12), Kate MacCluggage (The Farnsworth Invention), Ken Narasaki (replacing the previously announced James Saito), and Haley Sakamoto (Comfort Women).

The new work follows the story of Maggie (Ivey), a business owner in Clements, Idaho, about to close one of the last standing independent business in town. But when a newcomer enters the scene, he revives the hope rooted in her family’s past and that of the town.

McCallum last worked at LCT on The Harvest. He and Hunter last collaborated on Lewston/Clarkston.

Greater Clements will feature scenic design by Dane Laffrey (Once On This Island), costume design by Kaye Voyce (True West), lighting design by Yi Zhao (The House That Will Not Stand), and sound design and original music by Fitz Patton (Choir Boy).
