Two-time Tony Award winner Judy Kaye returned to Broadway September 28 in the hit musical Anastasia at the Broadhurst Theatre.

The Broadway favorite stepped into the role of Dowager Empress, the part created by original company member Mary Beth Peil.

Anastasia opened on Broadway April 24, 2017, at the Broadhurst. The company is currently led by Christy Altomare, Zach Adkins, John Bolton, Vicki Lewis, and Max von Essen.

The new musical, inspired by the film of the same name, features a book by playwright Terrence McNally, a score by Stephen Flaherty (music) and Lynn Ahrens (lyrics), and direction by Tony winner Darko Tresnjak.
