The Smash and Scorpion star makes her Broadway debut in the Sara Bareilles musical beginning April 10.

Before she takes her first bow in Broadway’s Waitress April 10, get a taste of Katharine McPhee’s portrayal of Jenna in the video above.

The clip features the Smash and Scorpion star on location in a diner, performing “What Baking Can Do” amid pies, rolling pins, and of course, sugar, butter, and flour.

Composer Sara Bareilles, who earned Tony and Grammy nominations for her score, recently played a limited engagement in the musical at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre; the role of Jenna will be played by understudy Stephanie Torns before McPhee’s April debut.

The current cast of Waitress also includes Drew Gehling as Dr. Pomatter, Tony nominee Christopher Fitzgerald as Ogie, Ben Thompson as Earl, Caitlin Houlahan as Dawn, NaTasha Yvette Williams as Becky, Benny Elledge as Cal, and Lee Wilkof as Joe.
