The inaugural Challenge allows theatre fans across the country to participate in an interactive game, predicting the winners of the 26 Tony Awards categories. The game kicks off April 30 (Tony nominations day) at 2 PM ET. All ballots must be finalized by June 9 at 3 PM ET.
Entrants can log in to an existing Audience Rewards account or join the program for free at TonyAwardsChallenge.com. Entrants will fill out a full Tony Awards ballot and can adjust their choices until June 9, the day of the Tony Awards and its CBS broadcast. Players will be able to create and join leagues to see how their ballots compare to friends and fellow fans.
The Grand Prize—for entrants that correctly guess all 26 categories—is free Broadway tickets for a year. View the complete rules of the Challenge at the website. Entrants will also be eligible to win a pair of tickets to the 2020 Tony Awards Dress Rehearsal and a Tony Awards poster signed by the 2019 nominees.
The Tony Awards are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing and are executive produced by Ricky Kirshner and Glenn Weiss of White Cherry Entertainment. Weiss will also direct the 2019 ceremony. (He famously won the 2018 Emmy Award for directing the 2018 Oscars and proposed to his longtime partner Jan Svendsen, the former Director of Marketing and Business Development and CMO for the League.)
The 2019 Tony Awards will be hosted by Tony Award winner and host of The Late Late Show, James Corden, who previously hosted the Tonys in 2016.
