Blake Zidell & Associates (www.blakezidell.com), based in Brooklyn, is one of the country’s premier boutique inter-disciplinary arts and culture public relations firms. We represent artists, arts organizations, festivals and cultural institutions spanning the performing arts, music, the visual arts and the humanities. Clients include St. Ann’s Warehouse, Playwrights Horizons, The Kitchen, Soho Rep., BRIC, Theatre for a New Audience, Performance Space New York, Taylor Mac, The Merce Cunningham Centennial, Classic Stage Company, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Simone Dinnerstein, LUMBERYARD Contemporary Performing Arts, Photoville, Irish Arts Center, Peak Performances, StoryCorps, the PEN World Voices Festival, the Playwrights Realm, and others.    

 

We are looking for a motivated, personable, detail-oriented individual with excellent organizational and communication skills to be our Accounts Coordinator. Responsibilities include liaising with journalists and clients about press tickets; creating press kits to be distributed to journalists; sharing press clippings with clients as coverage runs; generating reports to clients at the end of seasons or projects; managing our database of press contacts; and assisting senior staff with a variety of other tasks.

 

This is a full-time salaried position with a comprehensive benefits package and room for growth. As Blake Zidell & Associates is a boutique PR firm, the job is an opportunity to work closely with everyone on staff, as well as to interact with clients and journalists.

 

Requirements: a BA or BS degree and at least one year of professional experience in a theater, box office, or administrative arts position; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Mac OS, iContact/MailChimp, Dropbox, Wordpress, Twitter; ability to multi-task and handle shifting priorities and needs with acute attention to detail; and the capacity both to work independently and take direction.
