Job description
Broadway Licensing seeks an intern with a strong interest in learning about the musical theater industry. This highly interactive internship aims to provide experience working with new musicals in the Broadway Licensing catalogue, and an opportunity to participate in our daily operations as we partner with theaters and playwrights. An appreciation of theater and an enthusiasm for new works is a plus.
Key responsibilities
Duties may include proofreading and editing scores and scripts, assisting with musical projects, and other administrative tasks.
Qualifications
We're looking for energetic, self-motivated and responsible individuals with excellent written and verbal communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and an ability to multitask.
- Requirements: Must be able to read music
- Familiarity with Broadway music and score formatting
- Preferred: Knowledge of Finale and/or Sibelius notation programs
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
A stipend is provided for part-time internships ($20/day), and the experience is eligible for course credit at most schools. Ideal commitment is 2-3 days a week. Minimum length of internship is 3 months, with a start date in early May.
