DESCRIPTION

Prospect Theater Company, a critically-acclaimed non-profit organization (www.ProspectTheater.org) dedicated to developing and producing new musical theater, seeks Producing Artistic Interns to assist with upcoming projects during their Spring Season.

Interns will work directly with the company's senior management to support the production of several projects between March 1 - June 3.  These projects include the upcoming workshop production of AMERICAN MORNING (in May at the ARTNY Theatres, 502 W 53rd), various readings and concerts of new works to take place between April 25 - June 3, the company's annual writers lab, and Prospect's 20th Year Gala and Reunion Celebration.  Interns will assist with a variety of operations including line producing and PA work, casting, front of house, fundraising, event coordination, marketing, and other areas leading to the successful production of all the organization's programs.

We are seeking candidates who are able to work both independently and as part of a team, and who have a passion for new musicals.

Internships will be crafted to fit the skills and interest of the applicant.  Interns may be full or part-time based on the schedule and goals of the applicant, but internship positions are unpaid.  An average minimum commitment of 15 hours per week will be required.  Prospect is seeking to assemble a team of 3-5 interns.

To request an interview, applicants should send a cover email and PDF resume to Producing Artistic Director Cara Reichel, Cara@ProspectTheater.org.  In your cover email, please detail your potential availability and whether you are seeking a full or part-time internship.
