DESCRIPTION

TADA! Youth Theater, New York City’s Drama Desk Award-winning home for kids interested in musical theater, seeks a Production Stage Manager for its upcoming fall and winter productions -- original musicals performed by youth ages 8-18 (who are part of our free year-round pre-professional positive youth development program) for family audiences. An ideal candidate would have previous experience stage managing and working with youth. Must be patient, organized, detail-oriented, willing to take initiative, and an excellent communicator. Will be expected to run all rehearsals and performances; run production meetings and communicate with production team; run the light board during shows; and oversee ASM, possible production intern and wardrobe supervisor.

Commitment: October 10 through February 24th. Approx. 28 hours/wk during rehearsals and 12-18 hours/wk during performances (off December 22-January 1). Part-Time Salary paid bi-monthly. General rehearsal hours are 3-7 Wednesday/Thursday, 3-8 Friday, Noon-6 Saturdays and Sundays. Performances are generally Saturdays and Sundays at 2pm and 4pm. Additional hours may be required as needed.
